The successful rapper and songwriter started his career in music when he was only 18 years old. Only a few years later he has won many awards and nominations and is recognized as one of the largest influences in contemporary music.

Posty has rarely been seen trying to speak Spanish, and there is a major reason for it.

Post Malone does not speak Spanish with fluency. His level of Spanish is virtually unexisting, and he can barely say a few common basic words.

Malone was born in Syracuse, New York, and moved to Grapevine, Texas at the age of nine. There he attended school and resided until his jump to success.

A few times, the rapper has been asked to speak Spanish by fans and interviewers, but he’s been typically shy to try. There aren’t many recorded instances of Posty trying to speak the language.

Where Did Post Malone Learn Spanish?

Despite being born in the North-East side of the US, Post moved south to Texas when he was 9 years old. Texas is a southern state with a land border with Mexico, and the Hispanic influence is notorious there.

Post Malone did not formally learn Spanish. He never attended language school to learn the Spanish language, and his level is very basic.

He attended Grapevine High School, where he graduated. The high school is situated northwest of the city of Dallas and does not include Spanish as a topic of its curriculum.

The exposure to Spanish from growing up in Texas apparently has not helped Posty learn how to speak Spanish.

Post Malone Spanish Songs

The American rapper has published over 4 studio albums and 34 singles, all of them in English.

Malone’s father worked as a DJ and introduced his son to a variety of music styles. The early exposure to different kinds of music influences made Post appreciate and love a wide range of styles.

Post Malone has never published a song in Spanish. Only a few of his songs have been remixed by Spanish-speaking artists.

There aren’t any instances of Malone collaborating with Latin artists, and this may be due to his limitation to speak Spanish.

In 2017 Posty published an authorized remix of his greatest hit Rockstar. The remix is featured in Spanish by Latin artists Nicky Jam and Ozuna.

The song was received with great success among the Spanish-speaking audience.

Is Post Malone Latino or Hispanic?

The famous singer was born in the city of Syracuse in 1995, to both American parents.

Post Malone is born in a family with English, Italian, Polish and Scottish heritage. He's considered Anglo-American, and does not have any Latino or Hispanic ancestors.

Some of Post’s ancestors are from Irish heritage, and the rapper has clearly been influenced by that fact. He choose the artist’s name, Malone, after getting it assigned randomly by a web service.

The name Malone has its origins in Ireland, and more specifically in the province of Connacht. Malone comes from the Irish “Mael Eóin”, which means a servant or student of John the Baptist.

Post Malone Singing With Mariachis?

In 2017 right before Post Malone was about to perform in front of a large crow he got a pleasant surprise.

His friend Rich Chigga arranged a Mariachi Band from Miami to perform his song Congratulations. The band was given the song lyrics and rehearsed the performance ahead of time.

When Posty arrived backstage, the Mariachi band surprised him by playing his own song. They just played one song, but it was received with smiles and excitement from the artist.

Has Post Malone Ever Played In Spain?

The incredibly popular rapper has been touring all around the world since the early stages of his career. Working his way up the music charts, live performance had been his preferred way of cultivating fans worldwide.

Post Malone played live in Barcelona, during his 2017 tour. He was in Spain for his concert in the famous music venue Razzmatazz.

Even though he travels internationally frequently, Posty hasn’t been around Spain too often. He has been in Europe several times, but the majority of those instances have been to the UK, where he has a huge following.

When it comes to Spanish-speaking countries Malone has not visited much while touring. The artist has rarely visited any Latin American countries for his concerts.
